Targeted Approaches to Equality and Inclusion

The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) as a public body is required to comply with the public sector equality duties for disability, gender and race. The ODA set out its plans for promoting equality and good community relations and eliminating discrimination in the 2007 ‘ODA Diversity and Equality Strategy’. The ODA sought to exceed its statutory obligations and apply its commitment to being ‘best in class’ in relation to its expectations of the contractors on the London 2012 construction programme.
