Summary

Blockade Management describes the challenging process that transport and other public service organizations need to go through to plan for and communicate routine maintenance of the introduction of new technology or new infrastrastructure, or in the context of Thameslink, rolling stock.

Four short case study examples share details of the 2017 Christmas closedown, the completion of the London Bridge station works, the closure campaign during August 2017 and the lessons drawn from these and other blockades.
