Delivery of detailed engineering designs at GRIP (Governance for Railway Investment Projects) Stage 5 proved challenging in terms of cost, programme and quality throughout Thameslink Programme.

This case study provides commentary on how detailed design for London Bridge was procured and managed, building on the experience earlier in the Programme. It also highlights the main lessons learned from London Bridge Station Redevelopment.
