By accessing and using the “www. majorprojectsknowledgehub.net” website (the “Website”) you agree to observe and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not access, use and/or contribute to the Website.


The Website is designed for information purposes only and you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for the use of it. Whilst the Major Projects Association will take reasonable care to ensure that the content on the Website is accurate, complete and up-to-date, the Major Projects Association does not guarantee or represent that the content and/or facilities available or accessible via the Website will always be accurate, complete or up-to-date or that access to them will be uninterrupted.


The Website and its content are provided on an “as is” basis and without any representation, term, condition, warranty or guarantee of any kind, either express or implied (and whether implied by law, custom or otherwise) as to the condition, quality, performance, accuracy, suitability, fitness for purpose, completeness, or freedom of viruses of the content contained on the Website or that such content will be provided uninterrupted or error free. It is not intended to amount to advice on which you should rely. You must obtain professional or specialist advice before taking, or refraining from, any action on the basis of the content on the Website.

To the extent permitted by law, the Major Projects Association or any organisation or individuals contributing content shall not be liable to any person or entity for any loss or damage including any consequential or indirect loss or damage which may arise in tort, contract or otherwise and arising out of or in relation to the use of any content on the Website or access to it or its unavailability.


Unless otherwise indicated, any and all content posted on the Website may be re-used without written permission for the purpose of improving initiation and delivery of major projects and subject to the restrictions set out in these Terms and Conditions.

Any copies of the content of the Website must be suitably attributed, if possible with a link back to the source page.


The Website may contain links to different websites (“Other Websites”). The Major Projects Association does not endorse Other Websites and assumes no responsibility for the content of Other Websites. Different terms of use may apply to the use of Other Websites (“Other Terms and Conditions”). For avoidance of doubt where there is any discrepancy between these Terms and Conditions and the Other Terms and Conditions, the Other Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

Third parties may provide links to pages of the Website provided the link is not from any source which could in any way disparage or damage the reputation of the Website or the Major Projects Association. The Major Projects Association reserves the right to withdraw its consent to linking to the pages of the Website at any time.


The Major Projects Association reserves the right at any time and without any notice to remove, modify or vary any of the content which appears on the Website, including these Terms and Conditions. You must check these Terms and Conditions regularly for any such changes.


If any part of these Terms and Conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.


You agree that these Terms and Conditions will be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from access to or use of the Website.


It is agreed as follows:

  • Website: The Major Projects Knowledge Hub (majorprojectsknowledgehub.net) and the Major Projects Community (www.khub.net).
  • Content: Knowledge resources posted by Contributors including Case Studies, Micro Reports, Technical Papers, Lessons Learned Reports, Datasets, or Good Practice documents including any integral or supporting audio visual content.
  • Purpose: The promotion, collation and dissemination of good practice, innovation and lessons learned from major projects aimed at improving initiation and delivery of major projects.
  • Permitted Use: Publication and modification of Content on the Website; reproduction and distribution of the Content in all formats including digital and physical copy; re-use and distribution of Content by third parties and modification of that Content.
  • Term: Until such time as the Website is no longer published, subject to earlier termination.


8.1     You agree that the Major Projects Association or its assignees or transferees may use the Content for the Permitted Use to achieve the Purpose, during the Term.

8.2     You agree that any third party or parties may use the Content for the Permitted Use to achieve the Purpose, during the Term.

8.3     When using the Website you agree to abide by the Restrictions set out in 8.5-8.13 below.

8.4     This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.  The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute which may arise in connection with this agreement.


When using the service Contributors must not:

8.5     Post to the Website any content that is unlawful, false, misleading, defamatory, threatening, offensive or discriminatory on the grounds of gender, race, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, disability or age or is otherwise objectionable.

8.6     Use obscene or vulgar language.

8.7     Post to the Website any content that infringes intellectual property rights or any laws pertaining to personality rights.

8.8     Post any content that may contain viruses or any other software or instructions that may damage, disable, disrupt, delete, deactivate, interfere with or otherwise harm any software, computer hardware, programme, data, system or communications network or which is intended to provide unauthorised access or unauthorised modifications the Website.

8.9     Post any links to other websites containing any material proscribed by Items 8.5 to 8.9 set out above.

8.10   Use any robot, spider, data scraping or extraction tool or any similar device or mechanism in relation to the Service.

8.11   Use the Website for unauthorised mass-communication such as spam or junk mail.

8.12   Impersonate or pass yourself off as other people or entities.

8.13   If you breach any of the provisions set out above, the Major Projects Association reserves the right to suspend or terminate your registration and/or access to the Website. If you are banned in this way you must not attempt to use this Website under any other name or by using the access credentials of another user, with or without the permission of that user.
